Member Voting and Being in Good Standing

 

Fellow Crewmembers,

As we are at the eve of the Christmas and New Years holidays, we are about to embark on exciting times together in our new organization called International Aviation Professionals (IAP 2750).

Many volunteers are working hard to build our infrastructure to allow our communications to flow efficiently and confidently. Thank you to all that have assisted us with updates to email addresses and solidifying of our contact data base. Please check Spam and Trash folders and be sure to add Local 2750 News (news@iap2750.org) to your verified  senders list or contacts as appropriate.

Our next big step in the coming year is to accomplish new and achievable goals. One of these goals is to take a membership vote on the elimination or continuation of the Strike and Negotiation Assessment Fund early in 2020. All members in good standing will be eligible to vote and will receive appropriate instructions on how the balloting will take place.

Since a few of our crewmembers continue to choose the option to pay dues via check (cash payers) instead of automatic deduction, this message is an important reminder to our cash payers to ensure their dues are current and to be in good standing to be eligible vote on the assessment or any future issue. If there are any questions, please email our union leadership.
