Trustee Update 12/30/2019

 

Dear Fellow Crewmembers,

Your Atlas Local 2750 union leadership and Atlas Negotiating Committee are pleased with the announcement today that Mr. Doug McKeen will be heading up the negotiating team for the company going forward.  

Mr. McKeen comes with many years of successful bargaining and qualifications including vast experience in the airline industry.   Having worked at USAirways, Northwest Airlines and America West including most recently as Senior Vice President Labor Relations at United Airlines, he possesses the knowledge and expertise that successful contract negotiations require.  Doug also has experience with cargo airlines having been at AStar Airlines (DHL) before his tenure at United.   Our union welcomes this addition to the bargaining table and we are hopeful this new addition will lead to the new CBA we all deserve.

I am also happy to report that we now have negotiating dates for January and will be meeting the entire week of the 13th of January with the company’s new team.   

With the positive changes on the union side with the stand up of Local 2750 from earlier this year and to the structure and legal representation at the negotiating table, we are hopeful the dynamics at the negotiating table will change for the better as we begin 2020.
