Crewmembers:

Our Union is pleased to announce the opening of voting on the question of whether to continue the Strike and Negotiation Assessment we currently pay as part of our deductions associated with our union dues or to end it. Based on many comments and suggestions from you, our crewmembers, we have listened and agree with you that it is time for a vote on the continuation of our voluntary assessment that was approved by our members years ago.

To be eligible to indicate your choice, all voters were required to be in good standing when the membership snapshot was taken. The only group who will not participate in the balloting are the new hires that joined us in November and December of 2019 since they did not start paying dues when this snapshot was generated. Anyone who believes they are qualified to be on the list and did not receive an invitation and voting instructions from Simply Voting, please contact ExCo Member Christopher Grable (cgrable@iap2750.org) for any issue.

Voting will open January 1, 2020 at 8:00AM Eastern and will remain open through January 31, 12:00PM Eastern. Following this 30-day window, the voting will be closed and certified by our vendor (Simply Voting) and published to the ExCo who will release the results to our crewmembers as promptly as possible. Once the voting period is open, you may change your vote anytime during the balloting period, but your last recorded vote will remain your preference and be the one that is counted. During the voting, the ExCo, Trustee or IBT has no access to the process except the verification of membership of voters should questions arise.
