The Government Affairs Committee is a newly established union committee tasked with representing the professionals of Local 2750 in matters of congressional legislation as well as policy making at the FAA. Everything we do is to ensure our pilots have a voice in the legislative and regulatory processes that continually shape and change our industry in order to preserve day to day safety, as well as, the overall security of our careers. We will strive to ensure that these outcomes will benefit the labor force not only at Atlas but on a national and global level for our industry.
Our committee is not only working within the Teamsters organization to advocate for our profession but also working closely with Coalition of Airline Pilots Associations (CAPA) and Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) in all legislative matters.
We are currently advocating against the implementation of Single Pilot Operations (SiPO/SPO) and Extended Minimum Crew Operations (eMCO), which are being fast tracked on a global level throughout the aviation industry.
