UPDATE to FAA Medical Certification Enforcement : 20200330
The Aeromedical Committee has been in contact today with our AME from Harvey Watt & Co., and the FAA’s Southern Regional Flight Surgeon.  We have confirmed that, at the present time, the waiver of Enforcement Action for Expired Medicals (issued 26 Mar. 2020) DOES NOT apply to any action taken by a foreign aviation authority.  In other words, to fly anywhere outside of the FAA’s jurisdiction (i.e. International operations), a pilot MUST HAVE an FAA Medical Certificate that is still within its period of validity, as outlined in FAR 61.23.  The Aeromedical Committee will continue to watch for changes or updates to this temporary policy.
